Origins
Colin grew up in Southeast Michigan. He attended College for Creative Studies where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After graduation, he moved to New York City to work for Avroko as their Furniture and Lighting Director. Upon leaving New York, he moved to Indianapolis to attend Herron School of Art and Design where he attained his Masters Degree in Fine Arts. Following his studies, He moved back to Michigan and spent the next few years creating custom furniture and lighting for private clients and hospitality projects. He later worked at Shinola to design the retail program, audio category and other lifestyle products. After Shinola, Colin spent the next 5 years focusing on creating branded interior spaces, with a heavy emphasis on custom furniture, fixtures and lighting.
His work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Hospitality Design, Dwell and Designboom.
